This policy explains what personal data I collect through corisleachman.com, what I do with it, and the choices you have. The short version: I only collect what you give me, I use it to send you what you asked for and to follow up, and I never sell it or add you to a mailing list.
Who I am
The data controller is Coris Leachman, an agency growth consultant based in the United Kingdom. Throughout this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” mean Coris Leachman.
For anything about your data, email corisleachman@gmail.com.
What I collect
When you complete the New Business Health Check, I collect:
- your name, work email address, agency name and job title;
- your 24 answers, and the score, tier and recommendations worked out from them;
- the page address you submitted from, and the time you submitted.
When you email me or book a call, I collect whatever you choose to send, such as your name, email address and the content of your message.
I don’t use analytics or advertising trackers on this site, and I don’t buy or receive your data from anyone else.
Why, and the legal basis
| What I do | Legal basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Email you a PDF of your health check results | Taking steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b)) |
| Follow up personally about your results, and reply when you contact me | Legitimate interests: responding to a business enquiry you started (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Keep records of enquiries and stop spam or abuse of the form | Legitimate interests: running and protecting my business (Article 6(1)(f)) |
I won’t send you marketing emails or newsletters unless you separately ask for them. If you’d rather I didn’t follow up, reply and say so, and I’ll stop.
I don’t make any automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. The health check score is a simple calculation from your own answers.
Who else handles it
I use a small number of service providers to run this site. They process data on my behalf, under contract, and only for the purposes above:
- Supabase stores health check submissions, in a database hosted in Ireland (EU).
- Resend sends the email with your PDF results.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Mux streams the case study videos.
- Google (Gmail) receives your replies and emails to me.
This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts and code libraries from cdnjs and jsDelivr. Like any website, those services receive your IP address and browser details when your browser requests the files.
I never sell your data or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of these providers are based in, or use servers in, the United States. Where your data leaves the UK, it’s protected by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
I keep health check submissions and enquiry emails for up to 24 months after our last contact, then delete them. If we go on to work together, I keep the records I need for contracts and accounts for as long as the law requires, usually six years.
Cookies and local storage
This site doesn’t set cookies. The health check saves your progress and the details you enter in your own browser’s local storage, so you can pick up where you left off. That data stays on your device and isn’t sent anywhere until you choose to submit. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings, or by choosing “Start again” in the health check.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you;
- ask me to correct anything that’s wrong or incomplete;
- ask me to delete your data;
- object to me using your data based on legitimate interests, including follow-up emails;
- ask me to restrict how I use your data;
- ask for your data in a portable format.
To use any of these, email corisleachman@gmail.com. I’ll respond within one month and there’s no charge.
If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If I change how I use your data, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
